Hi! My name is Dylan Daniels and I am so excited for this amazing experience! I just finished my sophomore year at Furman as an applied math major and I am from Kennesaw, Georgia.
I've been to Disney World once before, when I was a senior in high school and I went to 3 of the 4 parks (all except Hollywood Studios). I had a great time and have wanted to go back ever since. My favorite rides were Guardians of the Galaxy (Epcot), Tron (Magic Kingdom), and Flight of Passage (Animal Kingdom). I love riding rides, specifically the thrill ones. I'm also an applied math major so this felt like the perfect experience for me. I had Dr. Harris for MTH 260 my freshman year and he became my advisor so when he told me about this opportunity, I knew I had to apply.
I was on the Furman Women's D1 soccer team the past two years and I just made the incredibly hard decision to quit so this will be my first summer without soccer, which I am very excited for. I'm hoping this experience will help me find a greater purpose in my life as I've been struggling a lot with figuring out who I am without soccer ever since I quit. I look forward to learning a lot, having a lot of fun, and staying active. I'm definitely most excited to ride Guardians of the Galaxy and also go to Hollywood Studios because I have never been there before. I am also excited for this class because it teaches you how to use math in the real world which is something I've always been curious to see. As a math major, I catch myself wondering often when I'm going to use this stuff in my life and this class I'm hoping will answer that question! I can't wait to get to know everyone!!
