Senior Computer Science/German Studies Major

I grew up in Florence, South Carolina, with three older sisters and parents who already loved Disney, so it wasn't long before I started singing along with my favorite movies. I started doing musical theatre in middle school, and haven't stopped since! I've gotten the amazing opportunity to act in various Disney shows, most notably Mary Poppins, in which I played the titular character. That's a photo from the show, of me flying away! 

In high school, I heard of a local company who provided royal entertainment for birthday parties, and I quickly joined their cast. As Disney actresses say, I was often "friends with" Belle (pictured below) and Snow White for parties and other events. All that to say, Disney has always been near and dear to my heart. 

Beginning in high school, but especially upon arriving at Furman, I became very interested in computer science, and declared the major my first semester there. In the time since, I've learned more and more about practical applications and the field's overlap with mathematics. So, after hearing about the amazing, life-changing experience that my close friends had as part of the 2024 Math and the Mouse cohort, I decided and apply, and cannot wait for what this experience brings!
