Connor Lockett

 

Hello, my name is Connor Lockett. I am from Baltimore, Maryland and have lived there all my life. My family has always loved to watch Disney movies, and my older sister is crazy at Disney trivia. I am halfway through my time at Furman so far making me an upcoming Junior. I am studying Applied Math, Computer Science, and Japanese Studies and extremely excited for this adventure.

I have only been to Disney once before this, and it was a few years ago during high school. I loved trying to manage my family through the park so that we could see all the cool stuff and ride all the big rides in the park. This was hard enough just to do with my family so I find it crazy how Disney can run so efficiently. This is one of the reasons that I was so interested in May X as I will be able to learn more about how the parks run and even to collect my own data and do experiments about the parks.

I am also looking forward to creating a stronger community within the Math department at Furman. I think that this will be a fun and rewarding way to become closer with many Furman students and hopefully make some close friends. Also, I am looking forward to riding super fun rides like the Guardians of the Galaxy ride as that was the highlight of my trip to Disney last time. I cannot wait to see what my highlight will be this time around!
